KEPPEL AUDITORIUM

Directed by Missy Barnes

With her pink pumps, blonde hair, and beaming personality, Sorority girl Elle Woods lights up the stage as she embarks on a quest to win back the man of her dreams, Warner Huntington III. In order to become the “more serious” girl Warner is looking for, Elle turns in her Delta Nu letters for the stuff shirts of Harvard Law School; not forgetting, of course, her cheeky Chihuahua, Bruiser. Though she hits some rough bumps along the way, like Warner’s new fiancé, Vivian Kensington, it is nothing a little ‘bend and snap’ can’t fix. Come see Miss Elle Woods use her spunky girl power to win over her classmates, Professors, and even you will be wanting to ‘Vote for Elle’ too!

The international award-winning hit, Legally Blonde: The Musical, is the funniest and most fabulous musical around. The best show in town, case closed! During its first year on Broadway in 2007, Legally Blonde earned seven Tony Award nominations, 10 Drama Dest Award nominations and an Outer Critics Circle Award. The show also ranked in the top 10 most requested Ticketmaster "Arts & Theatre Events" for 2007. Winner of 7 major awards including the coveted Best New Musical 2011 (Oliver Awards), this all singing, all dancing, romantic comedy is about knowing who you are and showing what you've got! Legally Blonde is a musical with music and lyrics by Laurence O'Keefe and Nell Benjamin and book by Heather Hach. The story is based on the novel, "Legally Blonde" by Amanda Brown and in 2001 film of the same name. Sorority star Elle Woods doesn't take "no" for an answer. So when her boyfriend dumps her for someone "serious," Elle puts down the credit card, hits the books, and sets out to go where no Delta Nu has gone before: Harvard Law. Along the way, Elle Proves that being true to yourself never goes out of style!
